Preparing the ground continues ! Saturday 3rd October 2009 Not many crops around now! So we have started clearing large areas and preparing proper paths.
Saturday 10th October 2009 Our most senior Volunteer to date ! Peggy Marsh (known as Nan at the Kings Head !) swinging a heavy mattock for two hours with Andrew and Sandra to clear weeds from between the remaining cabbages. Nan was very interested in coming to see a ‘transition’ project but was NOT expected to do any hard labour !
Friday 23rd October 2009 Using the turfing iron for the first time. Hard work but clears turf really fast ! This is Nick flattening out the main path to make for easier walking.
